10 Key Principles About Relationships

# 1: The only difference between a love relationship and a friendship is intimacy. Ask yourself: With my current partner am I living in a friendship or a love relationship?

# 2: Personal evolution: Relationship is the fastest way to personally evolve. Your partner has VIP access to your hot buttons. Once you are past the honeymoon period you will be pushing each other's buttons, whether you like it or not, for the purpose of growth and expansion of who you are.

# 3: Knowing one another: The basis of a sound relationship is to know another. It is not about what you know from the past, it is about what you discover freshly every day. Are you referencing your partner through past experience or through what is showing up in the present?

# 4: Affection: Do not assume your spouse knows you love and admire him or her. You need to communicate it frequently. Especially (but not only) in a volatile marriage affection is the key to marital happiness.

#5: Conflict: A lasting relationship results from a couple's ability to resolve the conflicts that are inevitable in a relationship.

#6: Communicate: Do not assume anything - even after years of being together there is no benefit in assuming. Ask, talk, communicate, and get to know each other freshly each day. Let yourself be surprised!

#7: Growth: Relationships are here to help us grow beyond the comfort zones we currently inhabit. Especially intimate relationships will inevitably become your biggest teacher if you are willing to be a continuous student.

#8: 'Self' versus 'We': An actualized relationship can be measured at the amount of allowing of 'self' in relation to 'we'. Are you allowing yourself to have your opinion, your position etc or are you keeping things to yourself, letting them go etc for fear of rocking the boat of the relationship?

#9: Criticism: Saying what bothers you about your partner might wear the relationship down when done constantly. It can erode intimacy and connection. Try sharing what you appreciate and admire for a change...

#10: Give-and-take: Relationships require give-and-take, but a problem arises when one partner does more than his/her fair share of giving in and going along in a relationship. Find your voice and 'voice' your needs.

Attempting to Find Love and Friendship Via Facebook Can Tell You Much About Yourself

A true Facebook story:

I've recently read on Facebook the following status: "I've decided to stop with FB. This is my last status. Goodbye friends" .

And guess what! This guy has received tens of responses asking him, pleading with him, begging him not to stop. The end result: this guy not only didn't close his Facebook page, but began sending even more statuses than before, thanking everybody for their concern and encouragement, for their love and attention, and promising hem to have decided to stay with Facebook and with them...

The moral of the story:

Facebook can be a wonderful tool via which to receive attention, love, confirmation and approval. Everything you've always wanted to receive from "real friends" - and more!

Facebook provides us the love and attention we need

We all seek love and attention. This is normal and natural. And getting love, attention and approval on FB is easy and pleasing: your friends "like" your statuses; they respond affirmatively to what you write; they show you love and appreciation; they express concern to your well being (all of which is at times different from the reactions you receive from your spouse, parents or other face-to-face friends...).

All these feel so good! So comforting! There is (usually) no confrontation; no negation. Everybody responds so kindly, driving you to place more statuses and receive even more attention, praise, encouragement. You are "nice" to others by commenting affirmatively on their statuses and by indicating you "like" their statuses. They reciprocate the same. It all feels so connecting, so friendly. You feel you "belong" to a group. You are like "everybody else". You are "trendy".

And at the same time you can be lonely and anonymous - yet have many "friends" who interact with you. With them you can be "intimate". They don't ask you for nothing and don't require a thing. The more statuses you place, the more "like" and positive affirmations you receive.

The virtual world of Facebook

But is it really what you want from a real friend? Wouldn't you prefer to receive honest and true feedback which will help you move forward with whichever issues you struggle with? With whom you will be able to sincerely and authentically talk about your true self, your fears and needs, aspirations and fantasies, commitment and intimacy issues?

Facing yourself via Facebook can tell you much about yourself

An unfamiliar advantage of FB - from which you can benefit considerably - is to use your interactions on FB and your attitudes about these interactions to gaining insights and understanding yourself better.

The best way to doing so is to face yourself with questions such as:

* Which needs drive you to spend time on FB and be so thrilled about your interactions with your FB friends (for example: need for love and attention; need to escape your loneliness; need for affirmation)?
* Which fears enable you to make "friends" on FB easier than real-life ones (for example: fear of rejection; fear of intimacy; fear of commitment; fear of not being appreciated)?
* Which parts of yourself you feel free to reveal on FB which you don't in your daily interactions? Do you present on FB "who you really are" or pretend to be someone you are not?
* And other questions like these.

There is a lot you can learn about yourself as you observe yourself interacting with others on Facebook. Make the best of it - and become empowered to find love and develop successful relationships!

The Most Common Relationship Mistakes Couples Make and What to Do About Them

As Kathy contemplates her answer to her boyfriend Greg's proposal-- that they move in together-- she is filled with a mixture of excitement, joy, fear and dread.

The last thing that Kathy wants is for this long-term relationship to be like her marriage that ended in divorce 3 years ago after her husband (at the time) had an affair with their neighbor.

There's no doubt in her mind that Kathy loves Greg and that he loves her. Her hesitation and worry come from not wanting to make the same mistakes in this relationship that she did in her marriage.

Over time, from Kathy's perspective, these relationship mistakes seem inevitable. She wonders if allowing her relationship with Greg to go to the next level is worth risking getting hurt again.

There is probably not a single love relationship or marriage that's ever happened that did not involve blunders or worse. If you're in a relationship, chances are high that both of you will slip up in some way from time to time.

Making a mistake doesn't necessarily mean that the relationship is doomed to be unhappy or to fail.

What all of this does mean is that you and your mate need to stay awake. Be aware when you two are falling into habits that are driving a wedge between you. Find the courage to talk about what's going on in ways that point you toward solutions

And, then, follow through and actually make the necessary changes.

Here are 3 common relationship mistakes and what you can do about them...

#1: Making assumptions.

You might find yourself assuming that your partner will think, feel or act in particular ways simply because he or she has in the past, because your former partner was like that or because you believe that all men or all women are this way.

Whatever is leading you to jump to a conclusion that your mate is or wants to be loved THIS way and not THAT way, question it.

Regardless of how long you have been married or in this relationship, don't assume that you know everything that there is to know about your partner. This is likely to lead to dissatisfaction, resentment and tension.

Instead, take the time to ask questions from a place of curiosity and really listen to what your partner says in response to your questions.

#2: Putting your relationship on the back burner.

We know, it can be a challenge to keep your relationship a priority in your life when you are also trying to earn a living, care for your children, maintain friendships, fulfill personal interests and make it to the gym a few times a week too.

Phew!

Life can get super busy and far too many couples put their relationship on the back burner with the intention to focus energy on it when everything calms down and there is more time.

One complaint that is often made by our readers about their relationships is that their partner neglects them. They feel unimportant and unloved. In cases like these, it is too tempting for the neglected partner to look outside the relationship for what's perceived as missing.

Set aside even 5 minutes each and every day for you and your mate to spend checking in with one another. Hold hands, look into each other's eyes and share what's going on for you. This doesn't have to be a gut-wrenching, soul-baring kind of sharing.

What is most important is that you and your partner are taking regular time to feed and nurture your connection with one another.

#3: Stop expressing your love and appreciation for one another.

Alles über die richtige Person im Dativ Verwandtschaft

Nobody can underestimate the power of love while dating relationships. Not something you can ignore, continue to throw each one of you in the other weapons. The reason that so many relationships have survived not the test of time is because most of the parties create not ground rules that would create their entrance into the world full of commitment. It is, what makes a person the familiar world into the hands of the sudden empty move. They detect only when they are only a few weeks and months in the relationship.

Dating relationships are the surest ways towards the building of relationships that will withstand the test of time. You can blame not the people and their inherent hormones, testosterone, and estrogen. The hormones that only drive in marriage can feel before you have begun your partner at all. It is as think as the dative is partner much breathe, he loves you, until he gets the inhaler out of his pocket.

Who says that love is unmistakably blind, was not wrong. It is what many of us think that the person who we are can be only right if we within the kiln of the intimacy and threshold of passion are made. Expired until at some point we know that the rules of love are also mute and deaf. This shows that we were not willing to listen to any kind of communication should happen between us and our partners.

Firstly to determine whether you have the person engaged in relationships with the right person are dating is is the best thing just a meeting together and start your homework. It runs deeper than just determine whether you fantasize about the same music or movies. Compatibility are all on the exchange of very common values, spiritual themes and goals of life. It runs deeper to do things like someone talking and getting to know them instead of exchanging a ring as a sign of commitment.

Many individuals, hatred and fear are talking about their dating relationships, where they think that everyone is talking about the way of the romantic life. They fear they have the intimate connections can only diminish and deflate their love. Because it has a sense of truth, there is nothing as you learn everything, what about your partner. This can waste your time thinking that the person will change your life forever.

Many people have high expectations and the wrong things in mind their hearts cry and think that they want to commit suicide, if your partner decides that the time ripe to a spade a spade to call is made. They can't blame, they have charged their souls and the dating relationship. It is from what perspective, things take place; You notice that you cannot see any future in the relationship. You can not help wondering what is happening to the person you thought was the right person.

Frequently Asked Questions About How to Win Back Anyone - Trust in Relationships

To get anyone you want, you have to think about one thing: Trust in relationships and how it affects you. Some people think gaining trust in relationships is hard, but it can't be further from the truth. In this article I will answer the most frequently asked questions about how to win back anyone by having trust in relationships.

How can I win anyone back? By taking five simple steps that includes admitting your mistakes, by showing how much you have grown, by being patient, by giving the person you want to attract more space and by showing independence. If you can do these five steps, then you know how to gain trust in relationships and win anyone back.

So how do I apply these five steps? By taking action! You can do these five steps in various ways, but there are a few things to watch out for.

What things do I have to watch out for? There is always an extreme to both ends, you can be too patient for example or give too much space, neither of which is any good.

So what is the best way of going about this? Make a list with these five steps. You start first with admitting mistakes. It's not enough simply to say you have done mistakes though, you need to identify what they are. Write down your main point which in this case is admitting your mistakes. Then write several sub points underneath it. It can be you feel you are too clingy, or maybe you are easily persuaded by the people around you etc. It doesn't matter how big or small the points are, anything and everything is relevant. Getting back trust in relationships is not easy, so be thorough.

Ok, I got my list. What now? Now you look through them and make notes on what you can do to take them off your list. Now for the most important part. Once you have a few suggestions what you do,

TAKE ACTION! This is the most important part of this whole exercise if your goal is to really get back trust in your relationships. If you spend too long time thinking about it and not taking action, you might lose that person you want forever, so take action today. Here's your action plan. Make a list over the 5 points which I mentioned earlier. They are admitting mistakes, show growth, being patient, giving space and being independent.

TAKE ACTION NOW if you want any sort of trust in relationships now and in the future.

What is Love - 3 Answers to What is Love All About

Love, the word itself brings an abundance of memories for some, sweet memories meant to last eternally while the very same word brings torment and heartache to others. And for some, it has but a bittersweet meaning, combining the best of both good and bad, into one indifferent memory. Many people have sought the answer to this question, what is love? Many scholars and authors have given their own definition of love, yet no one has come to a conclusion as to what love could really be. Love has proven to be a philosophy, with no real meaning, best limited to the individual. For me personally, love has been full of lies. A cycle of relationship after relationship of lies, hurt and a particularly spectacular ending for each one of them, most of them ending with a third party I never even knew about. But enough of my whining, let's move on into this article. The main point of love discussed would be that between a man and a woman.

One of the most common problems faced is communication breakdowns. This can range from lack of communication to just arguing over everything. Other implications could include a third party as well, or rather, unfaithfulness. One other problem, that's unseen by most, is actually low self esteem. To elaborate a little more, a person with low self esteem is likely to be the one who is more withdrawn in the relationship, thus lacking the foundation for trust between the couple. Later on, this will prove fatal, if their relationship is being put to the test or if one is disgruntled or unsatisfied with the other.

On how to solve them, there are many ways. The best first step would be to keep an open mind and do not be impulsive. For communication breakdowns, a good way would be to enlist the help of a third party to act as a mediator between the both of you. For the unfaithfulness problem, it's best to just move away from the relationship, if your so-called partner even dared to have an outside relationship you can be sure he or she will try it again. So it's best to just move off and continue with life as it is.

For the last problem, it's quite complicated, as sometimes the person himself/herself doesn't realize he or she has a low self esteem. Only when the person starts to feel stress will he or she do something drastic, or hole himself up away from the other partner. This might eventually lead to abuse, or in some cases, even murder. In such cases, it is best to seek mental help or someone qualified enough who is able to intervene.

I sincerely hope that this short article has helped you in any way possible. If there are any detailed questions feel free to ask a trained councilor on advice or other tips. Love does hurt, very much at times, but it's what happens now that makes us a much better person in the future. There is a soul mate for everyone, and I hope you find yours too.

Why I Write About Love and Relationships

Most people today wouldn't know the meaning of love if it smacked them in the face. 7 out of 10 relationship blogs I read are about cheating. Mostly asking questions like, "Is it okay to have one last fling before I get married?" "My boyfriend cheated on me, should I stay with him?" "My boyfriend hangs out with girls until 5am when I am not there, should I trust him and stay with him?" It blows me away that these girls/women even have to ask these questions and get another's opinion. Whatever happened to the mutual respect of each other in relationships? Not to mention, the respect of one's self. It breaks my heart to see so many women and even young girls seeking out this advice. I could not sit back and do nothing, so what am I doing about it? It angers me that there are people out there that would betray their significant other in such a manner. It upsets me even more that there are children watching their parents doing such things! Parents, children will imitate your behavior. Even if you think they don't understand what your saying or doing because they are too young to even begin speaking or walking - you are wrong, they do understand, they understand on a much deeper level than you and I.

So what should we do, you ask? Well first of all, stop your behavior; treat your significant other with respect. If that is just too much to ask, then get out of the relationship or seek help.

I once read on a blog that there are gray areas of cheating, meaning that in some circumstances, it's okay. I would like to know what circumstances those are; because I believe that it is NEVER okay to cheat on your significant other. It's black and white, right or wrong, and cheating is never right. Someone WILL get hurt and someone WILL be betrayed.

It is possible to have an honest, loving, healthy relationship for longer than the "honeymoon" period (which I read somewhere is 2 years in a dating relationship, not marriage). How do you do that? It's easier than you think. Of course, things will come up in your relationship, there may be things you don't agree on, misunderstandings and hurt feelings, but it's how you handle those things as a couple that will determine how you can handle the bigger things that will come.

A relationship is not all about sex, fun and feeling good. A relationship takes work, work that you must be willing to do and it's not always fun. But out of it, you do get a rewarding relationship with someone you care a lot about. There are many good things that come from having a healthy relationship built on the right grounds. And if more people cared enough about that, the world would be a much happier place.

So, back to my question - what am I doing about it? I have partnered up with relationship author Tapiwa Chitembure, author of Rage For The Justice Of Love. I write about relationship issues on my blog and actively write about his book. I have read it and truly believe that if people took more time and put more care into relationships, there would not be so much human corruption around us. I write about these things to bring more awareness to the bigger issues at hand and the seriousness of them.

Modern Dating Guide for Women - What Every Woman Should Know About Attraction

In the olden days when our grandmothers were single and out there dating, life wasn't nearly as problematic as it is today. The rules of dating were simple back then. Ladies waited for men to ask them out, allowed men to pay for every date and then after some time breathlessly impended a marriage proposal.

We are all familiar with the cliché rules on how a woman should behave to attract her prince. These rules have been passed down from generation to generation. There are things a girl should do ... and things she should NOT do. Only a obscene and dirty woman would make the first move on a man.

Many of the presumably fantastic advice for finding and getting Mr. Right that are thrown at us today come from that time. Things change and whilst technology is moving forwards , fashion is changing and the whole world is developing, so is dating.

by these old rules in today's world isn't just out dated ; it's just simply wrong. In the world we live in we as women have more liberty than we have ever had earlier. We can choose our profession , our flat and whom we chose to go out with. We can say no! or yes yes yes! And in our world our own opinion is the one that is the most important. This was clearly not the case with our grandmothers, so why would their out dated of courtship Do's and Don'ts have any relevance today?

To face facts meeting guys is confusing and rules make us feel more safe We often tell ourselves that by applying the Do's and Don'ts we keep ourselves from making terrible mistakes. Most of us have sometime against our common sense for instance lied about having weekend plans just to appear vital and popular.

A relationship is based on trust and if you go into one not trusting your own judgment, but just going by rules, you clearly aren't being earnest. If you disguise your authentic personality, scared to say or do the inappropriate thing around men you are really missing out. What we all truly want is to come across someone who really enjoys us and loves us for who we are. By going by old dating rules, you disguise who you are and thereby you cut the chances for you coming across a man to really love you down.

Before women became as liberated as they are in present , they looked to their men to tell them where they were in a relationship. As a result of that, the only way women were able to influence the outcome was through their own means - such as being secretive , playing "hard to get," and not showing feelings - to get what they wanted.

Nowadays most walls are down and both women and men have become more earnest and straight forward when talking about subjects that were taboo just a few generations ago. As many great people have declared with freedom comes power. Yes this may be correct , but with power also comes confusion.

The old rules did give us the confidence of familiarity. Life was a lot less confusing , when the man's and woman's roles were clear and clear. This is not the case anymore and neither the woman nor the man has the upper hand in relationships any longer. This being the case, who is then supposed to make the first move or the next? And how are we supposed to know what the next move is?

The old rules where women are supposed to stay silent and cute are not for our modern day world. We need new information about dating that suite the world we are dating in.

Because of that I believe it is extremely crucial that we establish a new paradigm for dating and relationships that reflect who we are as modern women in a modern dating world.

This is the reason the amazing relationship guru Amy Waterman, the author of "How to be irresistible to men" and her partner the wonderful Marie Forleo, author of "Make every man want you" have gotten together to help their fellow girls out there. They have created a unique dating course like no other where they set out to help any woman in ANY dating situation. All their ways are good fun , convenient , effortless, fresh and completely IRRESISTIBLE.. all without mentioning the out dated Do's and Don'ts!

Their dedicated work resulted in the amazing audio program, Make Every Man Want You MORE! The course is made up of of six lessons, where Marie and Amy let you in on the essential information you need to acquire as a woman, either if you're dating or in a relationship. Amy and Marie will help you with for example moving your relationship from casual to committed or with tricky dating areas like sex or communication.

There is so much compression on single women in today's world. They have huge pressure to succeed in every part of their lives, from their appearance and their career to their love life. Don't settle for bad relationships and awkward encounters with the opposite sex. Don't settle for anything else but excellence! With the program "Make Every Man Want You More" you can effortlessly and easily get the life and love life you need.

Relationship Counselling - Key Questions to Chat About in a Serious Dating Relationship

The goal of most dating is always to discover whether or not the both of you are suitable for each other, ideally, so compatible that you want to spend the rest of your lives together. Failure to ask great questions, questions that you really require answers to, can end up creating a lot of long-lasting pain for all people that are involved.

A counselor will want to know if the attraction between both parties is really shared?

You will find a belief in groups of males and females that particular individuals of the opposite sex are so appealing - "he's a catch - she's a babe," that this concern of mutual attraction is largely pushed aside.

Let's assume for a minute that Tony really is drawn to Brittany. He is told by a lot of buddies that he would be "lucky" to end up together with a gal like her. Tony pursues her and is able to win her over. Now, Brittany is impressed by the attention she obtains from Tony. She feels special, although she finds that there is numerous things pertaining to Tony she does not understand or even like. She ignores many of these emotions since she actually is concerned that no other man could desire her like he truly does.

It's now quite a few years into their union and it is no secret to Tony that Brittany is just not very attracted to him. He feels hurt, frustrated and angry, and their bond suffers as a consequence.

Is the attraction between the two people mutual over a prolonged stretch of time?

It's recognized that 85 to 90 % of the things we participate in every day are governed by our subconscious thoughts. These are definitely our habitual behaviours, some which have been with us for decades. The remaining 10 to 15% of the activities are accomplished by our conscious mind. We try to make conscious choices about what will eat for supper, how to react to a whining customer, or what to dress in for work.

Early in the dating process we are more conscious or diligent about our clothing and etiquette, due to the fact we want to make a very good impression. After a while, as the relationship gets to be more long lasting, men and women often ease off consciously trying to impress the other person and their conditioned morals and behaviors that govern eighty-five to ninety percent of their day by day actions are more apparent to the other person.

For this reason, folks who date and commit too quickly, years later, find themselves thinking about their partner and pondering... "who are you?" You're most definitely not the person I recall falling head over heels in love with!

The particular individual they fell in love with was consciously acting in a certain manner. The person they find themselves now with is the same, except that they're living from what his or her own subconscious mind has kept and referenced for super quick playback.
